LUKOIL Lubricants Company has successfully completed certification of its lubricants manufacturing sites in Russia, Austria and Finland under the newest international automotive standard IATF 16949:2016.

The company became the first Russian lubricants manufacturer to confirm the compliance of its plants to the actual requirements to suppliers for the largest automotive concerns. The certification resulted from the integrated work aimed at experience exchange as well as unification of quality management approach at the company’s manufacturing facilities in Europe and Russia.

“We supply our products to such automotive concerns as Volkswagen, Ford, Renault and others. IATF certification is a milestone event for us. We expect that it will help us to expand our supplies to international car manufacturers,” commented LUKOIL Lubricants Company General Director Kirill Vereta.

The standard is defining the most advanced requirements of a quality management system for organizations in the automotive industry. A parts and consumables manufacturer should be certified as per IATF to join the pool of automotive industry suppliers. The previous ISO/TS 16949:2009 industry standard ceased to be effective on September 14, 2018.
