SGS GRAPHITE GREASE

Special Purpose Grease

SGS special purpose greases are represented by two grades. Depending on the conditions of use, two grades are installed: SGS-O (the main composition) and SGS-D (an additional composition). SGS-O grease is an alloy of inden-coumaric or styrene-indene resin with graphite, and SGS-D grease is made by dissolving coumaric or styrene-indene resin in a solvent, followed by the introduction of graphite.

GRAPHITE GREASES SGS-O and SGS-D are used to cover slide plate pantograph of electric rolling stock equipped with metal current-collecting plates in order to reduce wear of plates and contact wire. Greases can be used as all-season in all climatic zones. GRAPHITE GREASE SGS-O is used to fill the groove space between current collecting plates. Filling is done with heated grease, then grease cools and hardens. GRAPHITE GREASE SGS-D is used to restore the graphitization of current collector plates and to seal potholes, cracks and other defects that form in the SGS-O lubricant layer in operation. The lubricant hardens as the solvent volatilizes and eliminates defects in the base compound layer.

  • Good cold and heat resistance allows the use of lubricants all year round in all climatic zones
  • Excellent anti-wear properties
  • Prevent the penetration of aggressive liquids and gases, as well as abrasive particles, to the friction surfaces
  • TDS
