LUKOIL completed successful tests with Ford Otosan, the joint venture of Turkey's Koç Holding conglomerate and U.S. car manufacturer Ford, and obtained approval for the use of LUKOIL AVANTGARDE PROFESSIONAL 5W-30 motor oil in Ford engines. Ford Trucks' experts concluded that this lubricant fully complies with the requirements of Ford WSS-M2C212-A1 specification and is suitable for maintenance of Ford Cargo FPT engines without any restrictions on the recommended oil drain interval of up to 60,000 kilometers.
"Collaboration with global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) is one of the core elements of our business. Car makers constantly develop their technologies, set modern and future-oriented motor oil standards. We cooperate with Ford in Russia in the passenger car sector and we hope to expand this partnership into the commercial vehicle sector in Russia and abroad," said LUKOIL Lubricants Company General Director Maxim Donde.
"We embrace the idea of expanding the list of manufacturers who obtained official Ford Trucks approval after successful lab and field tests as it guarantees reliable car operation to a growing number of our clients. In the nearest future, we expect to test LUKOIL lubricants with other modern Ford Trucks engines," Hasan Bayraktar, Trucks Operations Director of Ford Heavy Trucks Russia, stated.
