LUKOIL IS RUSSIA’S FIRST LUBRICANT PRODUCER TO OBTAIN LATEST INTERNATIONAL API CK-4 AND FA-4 LICENSES

LUKOIL has become Russia's first producer of commercial vehicle motor oils, which meet the requirements of the international API CK-4 and FA-4 specifications.
LUKOIL AVANTGARDE PROFESSIONAL FE 10W-30 oil has obtained FA-4 license while LUKOIL AVANTGARDE PROFESSIONAL XLA 10W-30 and 15W-40 have obtained CK-4 license. The tests of these products demonstrated engine wear protection, which exceeded the requirements of the above-mentioned standards by 47 percent.
API CK-4 and FA-4 motor oils are recommended for use in high-speed heavy-duty diesel engines for line-haul trucks and off-road vehicles made in 2017, which meet current Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier 4 non-road exhaust emission standards and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission standards.
API CK-4 and FA-4 motor oils are recommended for use with fuels that contain no more than 15 ppm of sulfur. Such oils provide better oxidation and viscosity stability, wear protection as well as compatibility with after-treatment devices. At the same time, CK-4 motor oil is also recommended for older engines. Being Low HTHS (High Temperature High Shear) oils, FA-4 oils provide significant fuel economy.
